All activities resumed 11/13/25.
The safety of our students, staff, and any community members in the building is our priority.
To ensure we communicate with families and share accurate information, we want you to know what occurred today.
At Molalla High School, a lockdown was accidentally initiated by a staff member at 9:21 am. This was not a drill or expected; it was a human error. To enhance safety response times, we are using a new alert system that broadcasts over our intercom: the broadcast begins with the emergency broadcast sound commonly used, followed by a voice instruction that the school is in lockdown.
Administration and the School Resource Officer were able to respond to the exact location where the alert was triggered and confirmed it was an accidental alarm trigger.
Following our procedures, we released each classroom and shared that it was a false alarm.
Moments later, a student had a medical emergency, requiring emergency responders. We quickly aided the student and EMTs responded and confirmed the student was stable and able to leave school with caregivers.
Students and staff have returned to regular schedules and activities.
