Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community, gain career experience, complete CRLEs and create a resume that is competitive when applying to colleges and for scholarships. VOLUNTEER OPTIONS NEAR MOLALLA, OREGON

BIG BROTHER BIG SISTER: Volunteer program designed to help younger kids who face adversity. This organization searches for a place to volunteer near your community. You spend a little time each week with a younger child to help them grow and become successful in the future.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY: Habitat for humanity helps homeless families afford homes, education, and living expenses. You can help build the homes, speak publicly for the organization or recruit volunteers. Some site locations are Portland, Tualatin, and Salem.

THE CHILDRENS BOOK BANK: Helps deliver books to children who do not have the privilege of getting childrens books. When volunteering you may help deliver books, clean and mend damaged books, or recruit books to send out to different families and children. There are two locations in Portland.

RED CROSS: Volunteering positions vary within the Red Cross. You may be learning and performing CPR, working on preparing for disasters or emergencies, or connecting within the community. Volunteering takes place in Portland.

MOLALLA ROTARY CLUB: Located in Molalla, Oregon. Meetings are held monthly and jobs vary depending on what the rotary club is working on at specific times.

MOLALLA ADULT CENTER: At the adult center you may volunteer to be a driver for those that are unable to, become a volunteer receptionist for the front desk, or serve meals to the elderly.

MOLALLA PUBLIC LIBRARY: Jobs can vary between stocking shelves, cleaning books, organizing books, or putting books away. Jobs will be assigned as needed.

OHSU volunteering link: First you must be accepted to volunteer at OHSU. After you are accepted into their volunteer program they will assign certain jobs for you based on your interest in the medical field.

 YWCA (Group in Salem that is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all): When volunteering for this group you may be able to speak for equality, may meet with the group to discuss this issue, or participate in activities to help spread awareness of this group and these problems.

PROVIDENCE WILLAMETTE FALLS MEDICAL CENTER: As a student volunteer you will spend two hours a week volunteering. Volunteer positions vary based on your specific field of interest. There are lot of nursing opportunities, patient support, and much more. Located in Oregon City, Oregon.
