Summer School Information and Registration

We will offer two sessions of summer school for credit recovery. Students may attend either session, or both depending on the number of credits and courses needed. Additionally, we are offering a 9th Grade Transition Academy for incoming freshmen. Read the descriptions and information for each below. 

We encourage you to reach out to your counselor to discuss your specific credit recovery plan.


In-Person Summer School Credit Recovery (In-Person only)
Dates: July 10-27
Days: Monday through Thursday
Times: 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Transportation: First Student or drop-off/pickup
Lunch: Lunch available through registration.

Cost: $75 a class (up to 3). *Free-and-Reduced Lunch approved families: Reduced price: $37.50. Free: no cost.

E-Learning Summer School Credit Recovery (In-Person and Virtual)
Dates: July 5-27
Days: Monday through Thursday
Times: 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Transportation: Family drop-off/pickup (no buses)

9th Grade Freshmen Academy
Due to staffing, Freshman Academy will not be offered during the summer of 2023.


*Free-and-Reduced Fee Waiver or Reduction: visit the Nutrition Services page on the district website for information on how to apply for this program. Whether your student eats lunch at school or not, this is the only way to be approved for fee waivers or reductions. Ask the Nutrition Services department for your approval letter and bring that to the school for your reduction or waiver.

Why consider High School Summer School?
 Summer school is a low-pressure environment that serves as a great opportunity to make progress towards graduation.
 Students can regain high school credit for each class they successfully complete (up to three classes).
 It is a great opportunity for current students to recover credits missed during the school year.
 There is a wide range of required and elective classes to select from. We are very pleased to be able to offer our most comprehensive summer school offering ever with a wide range of in-person and online options to meet student needs.
 Each course (0.5 credit per course) will be $75. Students may take up to 3 courses (1.5 credits) in person and 3 courses (1.5 credits) through E-School.
School Pay
 Transportation and meal service will be provided.
